This special morning event kicks off CIAA Tournament week by honoring CIAA Commissioner Jacqie McWilliams-Parker and spotlighting 50 years of women's basketball excellence in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) – the oldest historically Black athletic conference in the United States.
The Becoming Thurgoodscreening is a mid-day film screening and discussion connecting HBCU leadership, cultural institutions, and public media partners through powerful storytelling.
Attendees will experience an award winningselection of student films, cultural conversations, and immersive storytelling that reflects the depth, brilliance, and diversity of HBCU talent.
