Orange Blossom Classic 2026: FAMU vs South Carolina State, Labor Day Weekend in Miami Gardens

The 2026 Orange Blossom Classic will spotlight a marquee Labor Day Weekend matchup between the Florida A&M University (FAMU) Rattlers and the reigning HBCU national champion South Carolina State Bulldogs at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, the nationally recognized HBCU football showcase will kick off the college football season with one of the year’s most anticipated Black college football games, bringing together championship-level competition, elite marching bands, alumni reunions, and a week-long celebration of HBCU culture and excellence. The 2026 edition also renews a historic rivalry dating back more than 50 years, as South Carolina State returns to the Orange Blossom Classic for the first time since the 1970s. The event continues its mission of elevating Historically Black Colleges and Universities through scholarships, community engagement, tourism, and national exposure while attracting thousands of fans, students, alumni, and visitors to South Florida during Labor Day Weekend.
