Just days after capping off an incredible award-winning year, Alabama State quarterback Andrew Body has entered the NCAA transfer portal. This move comes on the heels of a historic 2025 season that put both him and the Hornets on the national map.

Andrew Body, a dynamic dual-threat signal-caller, led Alabama State to its first 10-win campaign since 2004—the program's strongest run in over two decades. His performance earned him top honors, including Stats Perform HBCU National Player of the Year and SWAC Offensive Player of the Year.

Despite a shoulder injury sidelining him for the final stretch, Body's numbers were elite: he completed 70.9% of his passes for 1,770 yards, tossed 20 touchdowns against just one interception, and boasted a stellar 203.6 passer efficiency rating. On the ground, he added 518 rushing yards and four scores, cementing his reputation as one of the most efficient quarterbacks in college football.

"I'm grateful for everything Alabama State has done for me—growing as a player and as a person," Body shared. "Now, I'm excited and confident about competing for a starting role at the highest level possible. This isn't about uncertainty; it's about chasing the right fit where I can contribute and win."
