Afro Blue, Howard University's premier vocal jazz ensemble, invites you to a behind the scenes look at a studio session led by director Connaitre Miller.
"Jazz is the foundation of all contemporary art forms, now R&B, soul, gospel, pop, you name it. And so for us as African-Americans, and for Howard as an HBCU, it's important that we are directly still connected to this art form that is feeding all these other contemporary styles of music. And it's our music, so we should be at the top, where the the level of performance is concerned.“
