Dennis has over 25 years experience in media and communications, specializing in the intersection of media, community, and public affairs. Dennis is founding and managing partner at Impact Media Partners, which has provides strategic communications, audience development, community engagement and distribution services to over 60 film and TV projects and numerous PBS stations to date, Dennis spent more than 10 years working in public media, serving as Managing Director of Communications and Media Strategy at ITVS, where he led all promotional efforts for the Emmy Award-winning PBS series Independent Lens.

Dennis also created ITVS’s groundbreaking national Community Cinema®  program, and OVEE®, an innovative online engagement platform for public media funded by CPB. Beyond his decade in public media, Dennis led communications and public affairs efforts for Amnesty International in the western U.S. for over five years, and served as communications lead at the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Common Sense Media.

Dennis is also a singer/songwriter and cabaret performer, playing regularly at venues in his hometown of San Francisco; he released his first EP, "Avenues," in October, 2025, now available on all streaming platforms.
