Lizz Colby is Director of Marketing at Big Media Agency and serves as Assistant Project Manager for HBCU Week NOW. A proud small-town North Country native from Northern New York, Lizz studied pre-law and Spanish at Emmanuel College in Boston before launching her career in retail management and later transitioning into banking. There, she advanced into a Marketing Executive role, leading internal marketing efforts and developing customer acquisition strategies and campaigns that delivered measurable results.

Lizz joined Big Media Agency in April 2022 as an intern—and immediately made her mark by spearheading a major international event marketing campaign for Maryland Public Television, promoting screenings of two highly rated documentaries to educational audiences worldwide. Today, she is a cornerstone of the agency’s operations: a steady, detail-driven leader who helps guide the creative process, strengthens project management workflows, and ensures smooth execution across development, social media, branding, communications, advertising, and media relations. In her role supporting HBCU Week NOW, she brings that same precision and follow-through—helping keep timelines tight, deliverables on track, and every moving part aligned with the mission.
